You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a 3-day wolf tour, where you will be taught skills in recognizing and documenting wolf tracks and wolf solutions. Genetic sampling and the control of camera traps are tested together. In the seminar, the ability to distinguish the different gaits of the wolf and to estimate the age of the tracks is also acquired. They deepen existing knowledge and provide space for conversations and discussions.

Lusatia not only stands for the wolf but also fascinates with the large area, expansiveness and undisturbed nature of the landscape. Pine forests and wide sandy and heath areas are just as characteristic of the area as the diverse post-mining landscape with its lakes and reliefs. Lusatia is a very multifaceted cultural landscape and the habitat of the Lusatian wolves consists largely of (recultivated) open-cast mining landscapes and areas of the Upper Lusatian military training area.

Since it is important for understanding the wolf to also understand its habitat and to experience for yourself that it is not just the so-called "wilderness" in which these large carnivores can live, the monitoring excursions will cover as many different areas of Lusatia as possible.

We have a shuttle bus from Cottbus, this bus is hired and brings us everywhere this tour days.

Of course you can come with your own car to the accommodation.
